The whole early early wano arc frany was crying and saying who this oden is and i would've liked to meet him , and now here we find franky just ignoring people and missed a chance to properly talk with 2 legends , he could've even become friends with shanks here as they are both of the same age
And i think he met roger too

Isn't it crazy how Oda can set something up over a decade before he explains it? After 15+ years he finally explains Roger's message on the poneglyph in Skypiea..

Rogers journey was peacefull compared to luffy with countries not in political dispute, civil wars yet. So luffy will be the better pirate king?😂🤔
And buggy had so much connections with legendary ppl but he is like that one failure kid who could not utilise the potential given to him. Still became a warlord though😅

I guess such things were still brewing then. The political and civil issues is not that heavily pressed since the world does not yet have the yonkos, shichibukai and even the great pirate age where Roger would be labeled as the "king of pirates" because of what he had revealed about the world has to offer and of course about One Piece that as we all know flared up people's heart around the world.

Luffy being the "better pirate king" is something quite interesting indeed but let us always remember Roger and his crew paved the way for the "one piece" to be known where he just wanted to reach the last island, get lots of treasures and of course conquer the world before he died. Where, people was inspired to be pirates thus having Luffy and many more to set sail. Also, remember, being the "king of pirates" is not about position but rather as being "free". and I think, of course knowing the truth especially of that of the void century. Thank goodness, Luffy and maybe because of the will of D etc., and of course by the help of the people he met and the crew that he gathered was there to help people of the places he went into to be free from the shackles that they are in. Like Skypeia, Alabasta, Mermaid Island, Dressrosa, etc. Indeed as what roger said, his time is near (to die) and it's not his time (like for the war etc whatever it is since poseidon is still not born) and just like what Whitebeard said about Teach not the one roger was waiting, we could say indeed that it would be Luffy who had inherited Roger's or the [D's will] and do whatever it is that [Joyboy (?)] or whatever would finish and see it all through the end :)

and yeah, buggy we could really say that but I respect buggy nevertheless since he didn't used Roger's or even Shank's name to be famous (we know he didn't because he's such a scaredy clown) but still I know it's more than that. Maybe he just wanted to be "known" as someone great because of something that he did and not just his connections. Just like how Roger said: "do that when you're already a captain of your own" So there's the respect to his captain and crew/bff hahaha which is shanks~ Tho since everything about it is already revealed in the world in the Marineford Arc, technically he became a warlord because of the strong prisoners he kinda fooled and of course the fact that he was connected to such legendary pirate thus it being credited to him. bro roger already reached the last island(as he said in the previous episode) which means he started his journey just like luffy and gained power through his adventures, now he is revisiting all the islands to get the road ponegliff (becoz u can see that before going to skypiea in this episode roger knows about knock up stream , he already knows about water 7).hope u got it even though it took me 2 years to reply

i think he was traveling and visiting places like luffy doing right he isn't on focus on one piece instead he is fighting strong enemies and preparing to become pirate king like he k nown as one of sea emperors but not really at that level and Roger don't have someone who can read poneglyph until oden came

Roger didn't know where he was going (first time) when he made his way around the world the first time. Once he'd had his grand adventure, he was able to go back and go with laser focus to the specific places he needed to go, with very few or none of the major political obstructions that the Straw Hats ran into on a similar journey. Also even if there was trouble, Roger was fabulously stronger making his journey than the Straw Hats were at the similar stages of their journey, so that made things a lot easier for Roger as well.
